Emtelle are a leading manufacturer of fibre optic cables and ducted solutions, supplying large-scale infrastructure projects in over 100 countries worldwide.
After a successful rebrand, Emtelle saw a requirement to bring their website in line with the new modernistic feel of their brand. Further to this their website inadequately showcased their product offerings and did not drive users to engage sufficiently. They approached Sibbald Digital to provide a solution.
To provide Emtelle with the digital transformation they wanted, we broke down the process into five phases: Desk Research, UX Design & Wireframing, Visual Design, Development and Training.
During the Desk Research phase we conducted research of the cable manufacturing market and facilitated a user experience workshop on site with the Emtelle team to sufficiently understand their target users and goals for their new digital presence.
Informed from the Desk Research phase we began with the UX Design & Wireframing of the website, building out a clear logical structure to meet all of the teams objectives.
Next was to bring the site to life through Visual Design while ensuring to maintain the planned cohesive user experience across all devices. Using strong graphic elements from the Emtelle branding and premium stock imagery the visual aspects really came together nicely to form the look and feel Emtelle had envisaged.
The final Development phase utilised the most up to date techniques in web development to make the Visual Design take physical form whilst ensuring the website was both easy to use and functionally appealing. A tailored content management system catering for Emtelle’s international team and markets was also created with the ability to display geo-specific content in the UK, Germany & Denmark.
After training with Emtelle to ensure all members were comfortable with the operation of the content management system it was time to push the button and go live!
The new site transformed their digital offering providing a comprehensive solutions directory, a library of latest news and quick and easy access to expert support for their industrial customers.

Following the launch of the website we engaged in a bespoke maintenance and support agreement in line with the plans Emtelle has for the coming years.
As well as ongoing enhancements to the website we have had the opportunity to work on some exciting internal projects such as a company wide flexible QR code system that provided the ability to create QR codes for print materials that remain the same even if the links and documents connected to them change.
We have also provided a full multi-language experience for the website, first by providing the site in German and this year also adding in Danish.
Emtelle really has welcomed us with open arms and throughout it has been an absolute pleasure. We have met more members of the established team, met new team members and even been referred to work with other companies within the group.
